Kevin Burnett

Kevin Burnett is a life sciences professional with a demonstrated ability to provide strategic and analytical insights that are accretive to both enterprise and asset values. He is expert at the design and implementation of strategic development programs that achieve significant and sustainable market impact by addressing market access and adoption factors early in the development process.

Kevin has more than 30 years of global strategic development experience, including 17 years as core development/global launch team member on three separate blockbuster [$1 billion+] franchises that transformed their respective markets, as well as the corporate [Allergan] approach to strategic market development. Overall, he has participated in the successful market introduction of over 20 life sciences products, spanning multiple therapeutic segments.

Kevin also brings his significant management experience to TTC Group, including: creating and managing a corporate department with global responsibilities for a Fortune 500 biopharmaceutical company; founding principal of a successful management advisory and strategic communications firm; building and managing integrated, multidisciplinary teams of professionals with multimillion-dollar budgets; developing and implementing best practice strategic development protocols; and creating strategic operating plans that allow development-stage companies to achieve value creation milestones with lean operating principles and protocols.

Kevin has substantial editorial experience across a broad range of publications, including CME-accredited journal supplements to the European Journal of Ophthalmology, Survey of Ophthalmology, the European Journal of Neurology and Cutis, as well as numerous peer-reviewed journal manuscripts and specialty publications. He has been as an invited peer reviewer to UK-based Ashley Publications, and is a published author with by-lined articles appearing in periodicals as diverse as Engineering Horizons, Orange Coast Magazine and Wine Spectator.

He has served as a media spokesperson, representing both technology-specific and general corporate interests. In addition, Kevin co-managed the third most successful open-space bond initiative in the history of California politics and co-managed media for the Dalai Lama when he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace.

Kevin has been a guest lecturer for the program in Social Ecology at the University of California, Irvine. He holds a dual degree from the University of California, Irvine, in Political Science and Psychology with an emphasis on models of decision-making and influence.

Mary Ann Chapman, PhD

Dr. Mary Ann Chapman received her Ph.D. in neuropsychopharmacology from Washington State University in 1994, where she was supported by a grant from the National Institutes of Mental Health. Over the next 4 years, she received postdoctoral training in neuroanatomy and neuropharmacology at St. Louis University School of Medicine and Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. Mary Ann then joined a biomedical communications firm, where she developed scientific communications materials for a pharmaceutical company in support of a neurologic product. Since 2000, Mary Ann has served on the Board of Directors for the Parkinson and Movement Disorder Foundation and as the Chairman of the Grants Review Committee for this organization.

Mary Ann specializes in the development of slide sets, manuscripts, monographs, and literature analyses targeted at a variety of audiences, with the goal of bringing scientific support to marketing messages. She has written in numerous other formats, including continuing medical education (CME), patient materials, sales training manuals, formulary kits, internal corporate documents, newsletters and lay advocate training manuals. General therapeutic categories have included neurology, psychiatry, cancer, genomics, immunology, skin disease, gastrointestinal disease and wound care. Dr. Chapman has produced materials in support of products from Allergan, Aventis, Berlex, Biogen Idec, Genomic Health, Healthpoint Biotherapeutics, Smith & Nephew, Janssen, Sanofi-Aventis and Valeant.

Carole Alison Chrvala, PhD

Dr. Carole Alison Chrvala is a seasoned researcher and medical writer with more than 20 years' experience, having written and presented on a wide variety of health topics to more than 100 professional audiences and organizations. She received both her MA and PhD from the University of Colorado in behavioral medicine and epidemiology. Carole has worked as a Senior Program Officer for the National Academies of Sciences and a Senior Scientist with the Food and Drug Administration, where she provided training and technical assistance to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and consulted with numerous state agencies to support implementation of the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program. Prior to this, Carole was director of Cancer Prevention and Control for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). During her tenure at CDPHE, she was Principal Investigator or Co-principal Investigator on more than 10 grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements focused on prevention, screening, and treatment of breast and cervical cancer. Carole has also served as invited reviewer for several National Institutes of Health grant review panels and had the honor of participating on a variety of state, regional, national, and international advisory boards and steering committees on issues related to cardiovascular disease, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, oncology, and women's health.

Carole provides biostatistical support, epidemiologic consulting, medical writing, publication planning, and strategic competitive analyses in diverse therapeutic areas including oncology, cardiovascular disease and related conditions, diabetes and related conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, infectious diseases, musculoskeletal disorders, neurologic disorders, psychiatric disorders, pain, respiratory disorders, rheumatologic disorders, women's health and wound care. She is also expert in preparing continuing medical education programs, literature reviews and analysis, manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals, monographs, reviews, and white papers, sales training materials, and summaries of key findings presented at professional conferences, advisory boards, and symposia. Carole is a current member of the American Heart Association, American Medical Writers Association, American Society of Clinical Oncology, European Medical Writers Association, International Society for Medical Publication Professionals, and the Society for Epidemiologic Research.

Carey Gold

Carey Gold has been a writer, director and creative director for over 30 years. His work spans every major content delivery medium, including television, film, live theater, video, video-wall, interactive CD-ROM and videodisc. Carey has written for popular daytime television programs, such as As The World Turns, Love of Life, Secret Storm, and Ryan's Hope. His work on Ryan's Hope earned Carey two Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Writing Achievement. His series work has included Mystery Is My Business, The Rinehart Report, and From Time To Time.

Carey has also written and directed television commercials for clients, such as Accenture and Roche Laboratories. He was the writer and creative director for People Magazine's Boom, an impressionistic video chronicle of the social forces that have shaped popular culture over the last 45 years.

Carey has worked as a writer, director, and creative director on a wide variety of corporate projects for clients, including ABC Television, American Express, AT&T, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Healthpoint Biotherapeutics, IBM (Canada & US), Johnson & Johnson, Lederle Laboratories, Lucent Technologies/Avaya, Merck, Met Life, Pfizer, Pharmacia-Upjohn, Unisys and Xerox.

He previously served as an artist-in-residence at the Goodman Theater, and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the BMI Musical Theater Workshop. Carey received his B.A. from Columbia University.

Stephen J. Visconti

Stephen Visconti is a respected designer and creative director, whose career has included senior positions at some of New York City's top-tier design, advertising and marketing communications firms, such as Lintas:MC, Wells Rich & Greene, Corporate Annual Reports and Wechsler.

A graduate of the School of Visual Arts, with a BFA in Design, and a member of the AIGA/NY, Stephen brings a wealth of strategic branding and design experience, and has built and shaped the brands of an impressive roster of financial services, healthcare, technology and commercial real estate clients, including Ameriprise Investments, CB Richard Ellis, Cushman-Wakefield, Healthpoint Biotherapeutics, IBM, ING Real Estate, ITG, Johnson & Johnson's Acuvue brand, Lucent Technologies, Morgan Stanley, Smith & Nephew and UBS Financial Services.

Stephen has designed and directed print, environmental and interactive brand experiences that have successfully captured a brand's core purpose and values its content and character helping clients connect both emotionally and strategically with their audiences. From concept through actual implementation, and regardless of the project's scope, Stephen delivers a classically trained design aesthetic, a passion for clear, concise and compelling ideas and messaging, and the ability to thoroughly understand a client's needs and objectives.

Karen A. DiBernardo

Karen DiBernardo brings 25 years of public relations experience as a media strategist and placement specialist. Over the course of her career, Karen has worked with many of the country's top PR firms, including Biosector 2, Chandler Chicco Agency (CCA), Cohn & Wolfe, Cooney/Waters Group, Fleishman-Hillard, Hill & Knowlton, HealthSTAR, MSL, Ogilvy PR and Ruder-Finn.

Throughout her career, Karen has placed hundreds of stories in Parade, Prevention, Readers Digest, First for Women, More, O, CNN, Fox & Friends, "The View," "The Doctors," The New York Times, Newsweek, Time, WebMD, "Good Morning America," "Today," "NBC Nightly News," "CBS Evening News," MSNBC.com, USA Today, Associated Press, Bloomberg and Reuters, and many other high profile consumer, business, trade and online media outlets.

With expertise in a broad range of therapeutic categories including cardiovascular, dermatology, endocrinology, immunology, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, respiratory disease and mental, women's and children's health, Karen has developed, managed and pitched high-profile media programs for leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device firms including Abbott, Alcon, Allergan, Amgen, Bayer, Bausch & Lomb, Boehringer Ingleheim, Eli Lilly, Genentech, Healthpoint Biotherapuetics, Janssen, McNeil, Mentor, Millennium, NovoNordisk, Pfizer, Roche, SmithKline Beecham, Sanofi Pasteur and many others.

Previously, Karen was Senior VP/Director of Media Relations at Stratis/KPR, where she managed the McNeil/Tylenol and J&J/Ethicon Endo-Surgery accounts. Before that, she led the healthcare media team at Burson-Marsteller as VP/Media Services Manager, hiring and managing a team of ten media relations specialists across all healthcare accounts. She also began her career at Burson, where she spent seven years in the media services department before moving to Ruder-Finn as Media Services Manager.

David H. Crean, PhD, MBA

Dr. David Crean has more than 20 years of management experience in Corporate, Business Development & Licensing in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. He has worked closely with executive management and Boards of Directors in establishing and driving corporate strategy and leading growth of the various organizations through mergers, acquisitions, licensing and collaborations. David has worked for both privately-held and publically traded companies, possesses a strong deal sheet on the buy and sell-side, and has an extensive network of strong relationships that helped make them happen. Dr. Crean worked numerous years as a business development specialist with Allergan, Inc., a leading specialty company in aesthetics and ophthalmology (acquired by Actavis in 2015), where he was responsible for completing transactions with third parties and partners to help drive earnings growth beyond their organic pipeline.

David earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Canisius College, Buffalo, NY, Masters of Science and Doctorate of Philosophy Degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo and Masters of Business Administration with Finance concentration from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA.

In addition to his work in the Pharmaceutical and biotechnology sector, David is active in the non-profit sector as President and CEO of a leading youth development organization.
